The New Smashing Pumpkins Record: Yea or Nay?

Say what you want about The Smashing Pumpkins; because I know Billy Corgan is bit of a weirdo who believes we share the planet with shape-shifting lizard people (which you can find out first hand by clicking HERE) but you can’t deny the influence they had on the 90’s with their records Gish, Siamese Dream, and Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

Now as a Pumpkins fan, maybe I’m a little biased in my opinion, but I think their latest record “Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol: 1/LP – No Past. No Future. No Sun” is great – although – they probably could have shortened the title a little bit. This new record reunites 3/4 of the original lineup — which is consisted of Billy Cogran, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlain.  (sans D’arcy Wretzky, their bass player) and it’s oozing with nostalgic pumpkin-y goodness.

Here’s the videos for their last two singles — and if you dig them – let us know, because maybe we’ll give them a spin.  – Joee
