Jessie Combs: 1983-2019
The fastest woman on four wheels was killed in a jet-car crash trying to break her own speed record in the Alvord Desert in Oregon yesterday. Her death was confirmed this morning by Terry Madden, a member of her team, on Instagram.
Combs held the title of “fastest woman on four wheels” after setting a record of 398 mph in her jet-powered North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger in 2013.
A racer, a fabricator and a televsion personality, the 36 year old was a legend in the automotive world.
